Amramp Provides Accessibility For A Veteran In Need

Nicholas Marcellino: Today we are providing a ramp for a veteran in need. We connected with the Twilight Wish Foundation. We teamed up together to provide him accessibility with a ramp out his front entrance.

Peter Stinson: We have a lot of applications for wishes, and this one particularly being a local one for a ramp. It seemed like a natural fit to approach and work with Amramp. We got a donor to come in and chip in the funds and today the completion of the project was CHIP being able to go up and down out of his front door without having to go through a scooter and two wheelchairs just to get to the driveway.

Nick Marcellino: Upon contact we’ll go out and evaluate the home to see what the design would look like and make sure it’s favorable with the user. And then we provide them with a drawing and then we install it in 1 to 3 days. We have local warehouses that house the inventory and the product which enables us to reach our customers quickly in need.

Nick Marcellino: We were so proud today to provide this ramp for Mr. Hoffman and help this veteran.

Charles “Chip” Huffman: Thank you. Thank you, everyone.

Chip Huffman: I spent four years in the Navy, went into boot camp. From there, I went to Cuba for a year and from there I went to the USS Saratoga, two med cruises. I worked on F-4b Phantoms, Jets. I just can’t thank you enough. This connects me with the outside. I wasn’t able. I sit in a chair and that’s it.

Chip Huffman: I can’t come out here. I couldn’t get out unless two people would help me. So this is it’s just phenomenal. I’m speechless.
